Cheap Eats
Christmas is fast approaching that means we’re all skint, but that doesn’t matter because our bellies will be full from all the delicious food available, for 2 days of the month.
So what about the rest of the time, when we are short of cash and time? Here are my top five quick and cheap recipes …

Palmer cheese on toast: Most of you will have made the basic cheese on toast before. It’s quick, cheap and easy but can be boring and bland. Especially id times are really hard and you are resorting to using the supermarket ‘value’ cheese. With a few added extras, that you will find in your cupboard, you can recreate cheese on toast in to something delicious.
Omelette: Eggs are the most versatile food, ever. The possibilities are endless from cakes to quiches, scrambled, fried or poached; there are so many dishes to be. Just change the filling and you have a completely new dish.
Tuna pasta: Pasta was always going to make the list because it is so filling, cheap and quick to make. Tuna pasta requires no cooking and there are many variations and it’s so yummy.
Cheese Scones: This made this list by assumption. My theory is that most people will have basic baking ingredients in their cupboard.
Eggy Bread: And lastly, eggy bread. Eggs are back on the list along with toast. Here is my variation of the classic.
